DUNBAR selects the finest materials available from around the world. Many of these materials come from natural sources and may vary in their appearance. Finish samples and printed material should be used for reference only, as they do not represent exact matches—All samples represent standards for an acceptable range established by DUNBAR.
Solid wood and veneers are selected from the best possible sources. DUNBAR makes every effort to balance variations in color, grain value and pattern that naturally occur. American walnut, hard maple, and European beech are used in most of our furniture, however, we have the ability to source a number of wood species depending on the needs of a given project. DUNBAR offers a standard set of finishes, but can also match a specific finish. Please select the following link for an outline of the wood species and respective finish colors offered by DUNBAR
The metal detail on DUNBAR designs serves a combination of structural purpose and visual appeal. The primary metals used include solid aluminum, stainless steel and brass. Most metal parts are machined from solid stock with a few brass parts that are cast.
